The Washburn W164V Aged Idol offers a distressed look Washburn Idol series single cut electric guitars. The Aged Idol guitar features aged hardware and bumps, bruises and chipped paint on the bodies for that broken in, been-on-the-road look. The Aged Idol is a modern take on the single cutaway with a wider base that allows a thinner body to be used without balance problems. The set neck allows a slim neck joint and offers comfortable access to the upper register. The Washburn W164V Aged Idol electric guitar comes equipped with Washburn's VCC Voice Contour Control and Buzz Feiten Tuning System.

Washburn's Voice Contour Control is a unique coil tapping system that allows guitarists to incrementally blend between a humbucking sound and a single coil sound without the hum normally associated with single coils. Turn the VCC knob up for a traditional humbucker sound, turn it down for the character of a single coil. No batteries or preamps needed!

The Buzz Feiten Tuning System is a tempered tuning formula, using a compensated nut and saddle to correct the inherent intonation problems of the Western tuning formula.
